Optimus ISE to Collaborate with Mayo Clinic to Optimize Operating Room Products
May 19th, 2021, ZuĚrich, Switzerland â Optimus Integrated Surgical Environment AG, a Swiss-based leader in advanced operating rooms globally, announced today a collaboration with Mayo Clinic to design, develop, assess, and test various operating room components for efficiency, safety and sterility for surgical team satisfaction and the continuous improvement of patient care outcomes.

On Wednesday, July 27th, two surgical procedures were performed in the Optimus Integrated Surgical Environment, the Optimus ISE – the worldâs first fully integrated operating room- at the University Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, Spain.
The Optimus ISE is a room with many firsts – a radical and long-awaited re-design of the operating room from the ground up, the first since World War II. It provides improved workflow in an ergonomic working environment – safety, sterility efficiency by design. Optimus ISE has created a holistic, original, completely integrated Systems Solution for the entire operating room hospital suite. The Optimus ISE systems approach is the first concrete solution to facilitate decreased operating costs and improved profits for the hospitalâs most important revenue generator – the operating room.
Dr. John R. Mangiardi, Founder and Director of Optimus, has translated his more than 30 years experience as a high-risk neurosurgeon into a cohesive and simplified systems solution for todayâs increasing complexities in the modern operating room.
